It has long been reported that in May 1776, Betsy Ross sewed the first version of the flag we use today. The American flag has, of course, any more than the design by several transformations since then, as states were added to the nation and the stars to add the design.

Symbolism ABOUNDING

Unique and sexy that the design is, I believe, our flag is also full of symbolism. For me, it shows the red stripe, courage, blood and suffering. The White Stripes “truth, purity and transparency. For me, the stars of our flag to defend the goals, dreams and future - what we all aspire, in our own way - the infinite stars. The color blue is usually identified with peace, calm and spirituality. We hope that our dreams and the future is surrounded by silence and spirituality, as well as the stars of the flag are surrounded by blue.

Our flag is very similar to our country. It is woven of many threads together, as well as our nation is woven together of many nationalities, religions, philosophies and personalities.
